Here you will find Evergreen Baptist Church announcements. Use the links below or just scroll down to view. If you have an announcement you would like published to the church program, web site, or announced in service; you can use the send announcement form or E-mail link below.

Also, you can contact LeVar Scott for announcements placed in the program and web site and you can contact Minister Ann Merriweather for announcements announced during service. All announcements should be sent by 5:00 p.m. Friday of each week to be put in the upcoming Sunday Service program (announcements given after that, will be announced the following Sunday; if applicable).

We ask that you will please refrain from making individual announcements during our worship period. Be sure the check the church bulletin located in the front lobby for other announcements and sign up sheets.

Church Announcements


  • Our nursery is now open during morning worship service for children three months to three years old.
  • School of Mehthods will be at Welfare Starting Sunday February 19th and Monday February 20th - 24th starting at 7:00 p.m.
  • Congratulations to Quniterria Owens. She was chosen to attend the state culinary competition in Charleston, SC in March!
  • The Youth Department would like to thank the Sunday School and Evergreen Baptist Church family for co sponsoring the Youth Department trips!
  • Attention all parents: We will recognize All Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance for 2nd 9 weeks. Please turn your child's name in to Iris Suber or Lakiesha Torbert no later than Sunday February 12th
  • Please be sure to pick up your calendars today if you've ordered one. We also have extra's for sale and great bookmarks for only $1!
  • New Membership class will start up again, February 5, 2012, Sunday Morning at 9:30 a.m.; which is Sunday School time.  The class will be taught by ministers Brian and Chiquita Bradley.  A sign up sheet will be in the church foyer.
  • Woman Thou Art Loosed is back in Atlanta this year!! We, the women of Evergreen Baptist Church are planning on being in attendance! The Registration is $40.00 and we will be taking the money from now until March 25th. We need an EXACT count now as to how many are going with us so we can proceed in finding a great hotel. So please respond to this event as quickly as possible! SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!! Please contact Angela Burns or Jomekia Johnson if you have any questions!
  • All men; we will be going to T.D. Jakes Man Power Men's Conference in Texas on August 8-11, 2012. Contact Stanley Johnson for more information and go to http://www.manpowerconference.org/ to register.
  • Pastor Odell Burns 25th Anniversary will be Sunday February 11th. There will be a morning and afternoon service. Each member is asked to pay $25.00, a dollar for each year.
  • Karrington Smith, the 10 year old daughter of Alex and Annie Smith, was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and two brain aneurysms. Her Family will have to travel to Charleston for medical care. An account for her medical expenses has been established at the Anderson Federal Credit Union.   • Parents and kids ages 4-18. Please be aware of our new Points Plus program to encourage Sunday School and Bible Study. November's outing will require 4 points. January's will require 12. If you have any questions, please contact Iris Suber or Kiesha Million. Our goal is for each child to earn at least 4 points per month. As long as you earn 4 points for each month, you will be eligible for all church sponsored trips and outings.
  • If you have an Evergreen Baptist Church sponsored program or event that you want publicity for...give it to Jomekia Johnson no later than 3 weeks before the date of the event. Anything under 3 weeks cannot be accepted.
  • If you need to book the church for an even please contact Larry Merriweather nad/or Iris Suber.
  • The Nursery will be needing some start up items for babies, toddlers, 2’s and 3 year olds. 2 Diaper changing tables, 2 Diaper changing genies, 3 Rocking ChairsGlider kind) 1 small playpen, various diaper sizes, diaper wipes, kleenex, hand sanitizer, disinfectant (clorox anywhere spray), Lysol spray and disinfectant wipes, books and toys, rhythm instruments, gloves, changing pads, cloth diapers, towels, hooks for diaper bags, extra set of clothing (various sizes), Bible Time CD's, first aid kits, snacks (Cheerios for toddlers and 2's and Gold fish for 3 yrs olds), cabinets, mats, area rugs, blankets, small chairs and table. Money donations are Welcomed.
  • The nursery is also looking for volunteers (must be 14 or older).
  • You can order CDs for $5.00 and DVDs for $10.00 that will be available the following Sunday. We are trying to raise money for a DVD/CD duplicator so that service can be available immediately after service.
  • We are looking for volunteers for the prison ministry; if you are interested please see Minister Mac Williams or Minister Jeff Evans.
  • Please read messages posted at our information center, located in the lobby of the church, for additional announcements.
  • Parents and youth counselors please be reminded to make sure children are not running in the parking lot before and after service and during weekday meetings.  This is a safety hazard and your help will be appreciated
  • Please remember to pray for our members and friends that are serving in the military and also for our sick members.
